March planting
How are the seedlings coming along? Withstand the temptation to transplant them into the ground. It is too early and Mother Nature almost certainly has another freeze in store for us.
If you haven’t started planted seeds of leafy greens, this is a great time to get some trays started. It’s OK to put them out during the day, but make sure to remember to bring them inside if the forecast gets near a 35-degree low.
Here’s what you might have:
- Broccoli
- Cabbage
- Cauliflower
- Kale
- Lettuce
- Peas
- Peppers
- Spinach
Feel feel to seed root vegetables directly into the garden now to give them a head start:
- Carrots
- Onions
- Radishes
